The Eagle Has Landed….

The Eternal have arrived in Japan!!

So the boys rocked up nice and early at Melborne airport, ready for the long journey ahead… after checking in, we headed off to catch the first plane off to sydney!!

After a short flight, we found our way around Sydney airport to the next step of our journey.. Japan Airlines!!

After the first few hours, I personally thought… is this flight ever going to END???? … and 9 hours 30 minutes later… it did!!! and we were in Japan…

After getting through Imigration, we went to get our luggage.. only to find a sign asking Mark to contact customs staff… Mark’s guitar was still in AUSTRALIA!!!!!! We love you Qantas!

So after sorting out that the airline would deliver Mark’s guitar to us at 10am the next morning… which will hopefully be in time for the first Toyko show, we found our good friend Yoshi and headed off to the bus into Tokyo!

One thing that has really struck me so far is how incredibly polite everyone is… everyone here is so polite it’s a bit of a culture shock… but it’s an awesome thing!!

After riding the bus into Tokyo and to our accomodation for the night, we headed off to Cafe LaBoheme (hope I got that right) for some eats!! Just outside the cafe, which is on top of a shopping centre.. a very tall shopping centre.. there is a massive feris wheel.. there have been a few of these dotted around Tokyo from what I’ve seen.. very nicely lit up and changing colours!!

After some very nice food, we headed back to our accom for the night, but took a little walk around the corner to a convenience store…. just to see the local goods…

You can pretty much buy anything.. I’m sure we’ll never run out of…. crab meat and assorted cold coffee drinks :) But really, it’s going to get more interesting as we go along I’m sure.. being that we had all hardly slept for 36 hours.. we were ready for bed!!!

And that brings us to this morning… and after realising how cold Tokyo is we’ll be searching for some food.. and trying to figure out these coffee bags… hmmm …

More to come :)
