It begins… Adelaide 21 feb 09

Saturday Feb the 21st saw the boys of The Eternal step onto the plane for the first gig of the Kartika world tour. Adelaide was the first port of call with the boys arriving early to take in the sights before we unleashed on the enthusiastic adelaide crowd.

The supports provided an exceptional build up for us with local metallers, Universum showing everyone very confidently and professionally how it is done.

The Eternal took the stage at about 12.30 local time to a receptive group of devoted locals. Despite technical difficulties, the response was very positive and the boys could leave the stage with heads held high, positive about the impending tour.

The gig was followed by a night of relative craziness as the boys immersed themselves amongst the locals and learnt all about how to party, SA style. Being the well behaved band boys that we are we were able to walk right past the Sniffer dogs patrolling the street and busting people without worry and enjoy the sights and smells of Hindly st in all its blasty glory.

A huge thanks goes out to all the support bands Universum, Black Orchid, Saeturnum, the Enigma bar management, Rowan and Sam from Virgin Black, Ian the sound master and all the devoted fans that made us feel so welcome for the weekend.

Next stop our home town melbourne in two weeks. Until then, stay posted and keep in touch
